Dermal Filler

Dermal Fillers are a well-known and  extremely popular injectable treatment for tackling the signs of ageing.  They’re able to subtly contour, volumise and smooth the skin in a natural way, restoring lost volume and youth to the face for the best  aesthetic results. Dermal fillers are a cosmetic injectable procedure  that address a wide range of cosmetic concerns for patients such as  balance, enhancements or beautifying, contouring and adding volume to  restore youthful face shape. Dermal fillers are hyaluronic acid based injectables that break down naturally over time, typically lasting 9-12 months depending on the area treated and the amount injected.

Depending on the treatment chosen, we can treat conditions such as facial asymmetry, disproportionate and recessed chins, marionette lines, dark circles and many more. They can also help to add needed definition to the facial features with a natural contour and added volume. Fillers are great alternative to surgery because there is less downtime, risk and it is not permanent.

Dermal fillers work by replacing lost volume using injectable hyaluronic  acid to restore lost shape and volume to the face. Dermal fillers can  create balance and help minimise fine lines and wrinkles by smoothing  out lines.

Dermal fillers are administered with a needle; therefore, this involves a small degree of discomfort. However, we ensure this procedure is as pain-free as possible with topical  anaesthetic, effective products with lidocaine and advanced injection techniques.

Due to the nature of injectable treatments, there is a possibility of some minor side effects, most of  which subside up to four weeks after treatment. Common side effects  include:

  • Mild swelling and bumps.
  • Localised tenderness.
  • Skin blemish or bruising.
  • General sensitivity and redness.

Any potential side effects will be discussed during your consultation with Ms Kelemen.

Initial results will be visible as soon as you leave the clinic, however, it will take two to four weeks for the  filler to soften and settle under the skin for final results. The  secondary effect of glowing skin will be apparent at this point as well.

We only use the safest and most effective FDA-approved products. Before any treatment we require a full medical consultation to understand your suitability. We would never recommend a treatment for you if we deemed it to be unsafe or dangerous, so we always keep your best interests in mind.

Maintaining your dermal fillers and increasing the longevity of your results can be achieved in a few ways. To ensure that you get the most from your filler treatment we recommend a combination of the following:

  • Maintaining a healthy skincare routine, minimising exposure to UV radiation.
  • Eating a balanced diet and staying hydrated.
  • Avoiding stress, as this will accelerate the signs of ageing.
  • Follow the recommended aftercare provided by our practitioners.
  • Using medical grade skincare.
  • Attending recommended maintenance appointments.
